Yesterday, the Twin Tower Apex and Ceyane (32 & 29, respectively) were demolished in a few seconds.
History:
Supertech proposed a residential group of 14 towers with Nine floors each in 2000 named Emerald Court. More than a decade later, they changed the approval into 15 towers with 11 floors in the same area, including the two towers mentioned above. Although in the initial plan, the area was considered to be Environmentally Green as proposed to the residents. Now legal battle started between residents and Supertech. It took almost nine years, ending with the demolition of towers as directed by the honourable Supreme Court.
Discussion:
What happened to the authority officials who allowed the construction?
Why have residents let to even started the project? ( As saying illegal after making it does not make you a nationalist. How much impact will be faced, the resources, cost and the pollution, whether these all have been considered?
After demolition, how many chances are still that demolished area will revive as green?
In this era, illegal or legal is not so essential, but utilising resources and creating natural wealth is very important.
